The Trail of Fear is proud to bring back Dead Woods Trail of Fear with an ALL NEW LOCATION located directly on world-famous Route 66 at the Orchard on 66, home of the historic Couch Pecan Orchard.
The Trail of Fear has been producing the largest and highest rated haunted attractions in Oklahoma for 26 years. We adapt and re-design our attractions each year and Dead Woods is no exception!
Dead Woods Trail of Fear is located at 19505 N Luther Rd in Luther, OK 73054. Just a little over 25 minutes from downtown Oklahoma City, 20 minutes from Edmond, 60 minutes from Tulsa, and roughly 3.5 hours from the DFW metro.
Dead Woods Trail of Fear is haunting the grounds of the Orchard on 66 and home of the historic Couch Orchard located at 19505 N Luther Rd, Luther, OK 73054.
Dead Woods Trail of Fear is just a part of a full slate of events that we are kicking off in 2023. Dead Woods is located directly on world-famous Route 66 at the Orchard on 66, home of the historic Couch Pecan Orchard. The site consists of 40 beautiful acres of mature pecan trees nestled between Route 66 and the Deep Fork River. We are currently developing the orchard into a “MUST SEE” attraction at the heart of the mid-point corridor on historic Route 66 in preparation for the 100th anniversary of Route 66 happening in 2026.
The historic Couch Orchard is the inspiration of the Luther Pecan Festival that happens each year in November and attracts over 10,000 visitors each year. Couch Orchard is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2023 and will be re-branding to The Orchard on 66 in 2024.
In addition to Dead Woods Trail of Fear we are opening our Trail of Cheer Christmas Festival in December 2023. We are very excited to announce that in October of 2024 we are presenting the 1st annual Oklahoma City Renaissance Festival the first 2 weekends of October.
We are looking forward to bringing new events to this area and continuing to be a big part of community efforts to promote the mid-point corridor of Route 66.
Opening this December 2023 is our brand new Trail of Cheer Christmas Festival happening at the same location.
